We are aiming at the elucidation of molecular interactions and signaling networks underlying cartilage, bone and vascular formation.

Our current research efforts are focused on the following studies: (1) Action mechanisms of mesenchyme-derived anti-angiogenesis factors and their therapeutic applications for angiogenic diseases; (2) Molecular mechansims of vascular regression and angiogenesis during chicken embryogenesis; (3) Vascular development and chondrogenesis in fish; (4) Molecular mechanisms of chondrogenic differentiation; (5) Molecular mechanisms of tendogenesis/ligamentogenesis; (6)Molecular mechanisms of cartilage regeneration; (7) Functional analysis of chondromodulin-II.
