The purpose of
the Stem Cell Research Center is to advance basic research and
medical application in the field of the regenerative medicine
using stem cells such as human embryonic stem cells. The research
center consists of three laboratories aiming at establishment
and characterization of human ES cell lines, control of cell differentiation,
and engineering of functional tissues from stem cells.
