Department of Tissue Regeneration is one of five departments in the Field of Clinical Application in the Institute of Frontier Medical Sciences. Field of Clinical Application is dedicated to perform translational research and plays an important part of the institute as well as departments for basic research represented by embryonic stem cells. Faculty members of the department (Prof. Junya Toguchida and Assist. Prof. Tomoki Aoyama) are also members of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery In Kyoto University Hospital. The aim of this department is to transfer information form bed side to bench side, and return new medicines from bench side to bed side.
